EGAN

Susan Egan is best known for having originated the role of Belle in Beauty and the Beast on Broadway (Tony/Drama Desk noms.) And in Los Angeles, and for voicing the femme fatale, Meg, in Disney's feature Hercules. She has also starred on Broadway in Triumph of Love and State Fair, in the national tour of Bye, Bye Birdie with Tommy Tune, and in South Pacific at the Hollywood Bowl. Last fall, Susan cavorted alongside Carol Burnett in Sondheim's Putting It Together at LA's Mark Taper Forum (LA Drama Critic's nom./Garland Award). She also originated the Young Wife in the West Coast premiere of Hello Again at the Blank Theatre Company (Garland Award), where she is now an Associate Artist. Susan can be heard in the upcoming Disney film Lady and the Tramp II and seen starring in Man of the Century (1999 Slam dance "Audience Award"), which will be released by Fine Line in the fall.
